The text, a quote from Julia Kristeva, reads: "It is thus not lack of cleanliness or health that causes abjection but what disturbs identity, system, order. What does not respect borders, positions, rules."  I was considering this quote in relation to physically-visible disabilities and the prejudices that may surround them.

Kristeva is a Bulgarian-French author known for her writings in structuralist linguistics, psychoanalysis, semiotics, and philosophical feminism.
