This unique painting shows fruit, leaves, a dish, and a glass box on a tabletop that is draped with a red cloth. This still life is painted on a lightbox that I constructed. Rows of tiny LEDs line the inside of the box. The box has a plexiglass front, which I painted on with oils. The light glows through the painting like stained glass, giving the brushstrokes increased visibility and creating intense, vivid, highly saturated colors.
